As some primary school students and more businesses are set to return or re-open this week, what will become the ‘new’ normal for the foreseeable future will kick-in.
Most takeaways including the very popular Ferryhill Chippy are back open, but with social distancing rules and restrictions on numbers in the shop in force that will be the new normal for some time to come. Many are operating phone order and collect service
Cadishead Carpets on Liverpool Road are re-opening this Monday 1st June again with social distancing and cleaning systems in operation, inline with current Government advice. They will be open Monday to Friday 9am till 5pm and Saturday 9am till 3pm, where Peter and the team will be waiting to help and advice customers.
A big shout to everyone going back to work or school, stay safe and please follow social distancing and handwashing guidance as it is. Another big shout out to ALL those businesses that have kept us going during these challenging times, places like Irlam DIY, Ferryhill Corner Shop, Tesco and Raimondos Pizza Delivery!
Thank you to our fantastic Health workers in the NHS and Care Homes, Posties and post office workers, bin collectors, doctor’s surgeries, chemists, emergency services, all other fantastic key workers and the army of volunteers that have got the rest of us through this pandemic. It is by no means over yet and we must all stay vigilant and observe the advice and rules in place for as long as it takes.
But it may be July until we can finally get that haircut…
STAY SAFE EVERYONE. The Local Mag Team.
