Exam Success at Irlam and Cadishead Academy

Students and staff at Irlam and Cadishead Academy (ICA) are celebrating after recently receiving their GCSE grades which saw good improvements on all measures.
Results day at Irlam and Cadishead Academy was a huge success with social distancing not dampening the atmosphere of celebration and success. Staff were available to support in those essential decisions about students’ next steps in their educational journey and it was a delight to see so many smiling faces.

Principal, Toni Holdsworth, told the Local Mag, “The students of ICA have continued to make us proud, particularly during the turbulence of lockdown and the resulting changes to how GCSE grades were awarded. Our students have excelled, once again, and the improvements we have seen in our GCSE results reflect the hard work and dedication of our students and staff.”

Well done to everyone at ICA for their success, the Pandemic and then results ‘fiasco’ and government U-turns could not have made things any easier for our local students. We wish all those leaving school after their exams be that at the Academy, College, University or other schools all the very best for their future.
