New PCSO for Cadishead

Police Community Support officer Nigel Kirk (pictured) is the new PCSO for Cadishead, and will be working alongside current Cadishead PCSOs Mark Fitzgerald and PCSO Phillip Elliott until Phil retires in December.

Nigel, is 54 and has been a PCSO in Eccles for approximately 15 years and has joined the Irlam and Cadishead area looking for a new challenge.

Meanwhile PCSO Katie who has worked the Irlam area for a while and has now passed her probation and has now been allocated the Winton ward in Eccles. Katie has been an asset to the local team and will be missed, however she will become strong and independent making Winton her own.

Crime Updates

Attempted murder

Police are investigating after there was an attempted murder on Liverpool Road, whereby the driver of a Silver Audi A3 has deliberately driven at the victim. The Audi has been seized for forensics and the driver arrested. The investigation is on-going.

Jeep taken

A 2007 Jeep Patriot motor vehicle registration DF57 CXM was stolen from and address on Apple Blossom Grove in Cadishead. The vehicle is still outstanding as stolen.

Church Burglary

Between the 2nd -9th May, Cadishead Community Church on Liverpool Road in Cadishead was broken into. The offenders have broken in and made off with musical instruments, bibles, cleaning products and tuck shop sweets. The offenders have also vandalised the inside of the building. Police crime scene investigators have attended the scene and the investigation is on-going.

Fly tipping

Police have noticed an increase in the amount of Fly tipping and are working with Salford council officials to target the problem, particularly on and around Irlam and Cadishead Moss. The police have increased their presence on the moss with patrols being on foot, in cars and on bikes. There are hefty fines for those caught fly-tipping. Use the now open recycling centre at Boysnope or hire a skip from your local company. You have been warned.
