Well done to PCSO’s Phil and Mark (pictured) who saw that the Cenotaph in Princes Park in Irlam, was looking very drab and unloved due to the COVID lockdown. During their breaks last week, they have swept, cleaned and weeded the area and also taken home the wreaths for a wash! I am sure you will agree it looks so much better, well done Gents!
Recently the Police have noticed an increase in Business burglaries in the area.
Between 16-18th a business was broken into on Soapstone way, Irlam and a company van was stolen from the premises.
On 26th, another business on Soapstone way was targeted, with two large drums being stolen, the drums usually contain alcohol or hand sanitizer. A short while later on the same day, the same vehicle re-attended and again took another two drums (4 in total).
Between the 23rd and the 25th, offender(s) unknown have broken into a premise on Huntsman Drive o the Northbank Estate and stolen a van from the premises, due to burglaries being focused on business estates, Police patrols have been increased in the area.
We also welcome a new sergeant – Steve Jones 12767 who for the time being will be covering Irlam, Cadishead and Eccles until a new Eccles sergeant is appointed.
